Keeping Austin Weird

Babbitt has been dreaming about having a meal at the home of his favorite pork marinade, Stubb's BBQ for years now!  So, of course that is where we lunched in Austin & according to Babbitt, Stubb's BBQ ribs & brisket can't be beat.  Afterwards we celebrated at Eeyore's Birthday Party, watched the amazing Austin bats take flight & ate more local culinary delights.
Stubb's BBQ
Not only does Stubb's BBQ make kick ass sauce, but they are also home to great concerts...
we missed the Black Crowes, who were playing there later that night

They also serve white bread, pickles & onions with each meal...perfect to mix with their BBQ sauce

Locals of all ages embraced this free spirited fundraiser with music,
dancing, food, costumes & cops looking the other way

Bong rips were also plentiful...we of course did not partake & none were offered
...could be because we were too nervous to join the drum circles

These little "suckers" are hard to spot on film, but it was pretty incredible to see in person

We had the best truffle mac & cheese of all time here
We followed our appetizer up with chips + queso at Guero's, and for
dessert we waited in a rainy line for a Hopdoddy burger (the wait was worth it)
