Houston...We Are Ready For Takeoff

Living in the Rig fulltime had finally caught up with Katie and she came down with a nasty cold, but Houston's phenomenal Pho proved to be wonderful medicine!  So, we started our day a bit late and jogged around town while our Rig got an oil change at a repair shop Babbitt deemed worthy.  We then had lunch at the out of this world NASA Fast Food Restaurant & crossed the street to tour the massive Space Center Houston.  Sadly, our evening did not go as smoothly, we wanted to see the Challenger Memorial, but found zero memorials and after driving around with no luck, we decided to cut our losses and eat authentic Tex Mex instead.  There are so many Tex Mex restaurants to choose from that we went back and forth a number of times, before ending up at Los Ramirez.  Dinner was just OK, but nothing like we expected!  Our last stop of the evening was to Houston Galleria, which is one of the fanciest malls we have ever seen!  They do not have RV parking though and the valet was not impressed with the spot the mall director suggested to us over the phone, but after a little sweet talking from Babbitt he decided to look the other way & let us stay!
NASA Fast Food Restaurant
It doesn't look like much from outside, but the food is 100% authentic Vietnamese cuisine &
the owners are terrific...each customer is also presented with a stick of Wrigley's gum after their meal

Inside the museum we watched films, saw exhibits & learned how the space program
has worked in the past and how it is changing our lives on Earth today

We took a rainy tram ride around the facility to see Mission Control, various
engineering rooms & had the most disgruntled tour guide ever, named Chase, who
was not interested in giving us any extra space info
