The Stars At Night Are Big And Bright...

Although close in vicinity to Dallas...Fort Worth was much more welcoming.  We spent the afternoon walking through their beautiful botanic garden, witnessed a real live cattle drive, dined at H3 Ranch, had a glass of wine at Cowtown Winery & even took in a rodeo!
The O'Babbitt's at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden
This was such a relaxing place to visit...we couldn't believe it was free
Katie at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Babbitt smelling the roses at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Fort Worth Stockyard's daily Cattle Drive
Katie was expecting more of a stampede, rather than a slow stroll
& Babbitt was hoping for some lively music to accompany the cattle as they walked
Babbitt drinking a mug of Buffalo Butt Beer at H3 Ranch
We also split Nine Miles Of Dirt Road, Ranch Fries & a House Salad
Babbitt with his Lone Star Beer at the Stockyards Championship Rodeo
Neither of us are true beer loves, but we couldn't leave Texas without giving this beer a whirl
The O'Babbitt's after the rodeo
We were both hoping for a bit more bull riding & less calf roping and dialog from the Rodeo Clown
We had to root for the bulls & calves every time
