Fiesta In San Antonio

We couldn't think of a better way to welcome ourselves to San Antonio than by enjoying a meal at the local Whataburger!  We then prepared for the busy day ahead of us; we had a spectacular lunch at The Cove, visited the Alamo, had a cocktail at the Menger Bar, had another cocktail at the top of the Tower of the Americans, took a stroll on the River Walk & checked out one of the Fiesta San Antonio events taking place near the city.

Katie still wasn't feeling too good, so she didn't mind that Whataburger is not vegetarian friendly
The O'Babbitt's remembering The Alamo & Pee Wee's Big Adventure
The O'Babbitt's sipping some old time cocktails at The Menger Bar
Not only is this bar haunted, but it is also where Teddy Roosevelt recruited his Rough Riders
The O'Babbitt's taking in the view of Alamo City 750 feet high in the sky
at the Tower of the Americans Chart House Lounge
The San Antonio River Walk
We really loved the River Walk & probably would have spent more time there if Katie wasn't sick
Babbitt listening to jamming jazz at the Taste of New Orleans...one of the most popular Fiesta events
There are 11 days of events ALL over the city, making it confusing for us out of towners
