Bickering, Beaches & Baby Manatees

Tensions started to rise between the O'Babbitt's once we reached Ft. Myers.  We can't be exactly sure why, but it might have had something to do with the small quarters we've been living in the last few months?  Lucky for us Wal*Mart does not care how long you argue in their parking lots and after quite some time we decided that we weren't going to let the bumps in the road ruin our trip to Ft. Myers!
Our Easter Bellini Cocktails on the beach
We decided there was no better way to make up than at the beach with cocktails & McDonald's
Katie in front of the party hotel in Ft. Myers...Lani Kai
Sadly Katie stayed here years ago with her mom & it hasn't changed
Flat Hank at Manatee Park
Katie was not leaving Florida without seeing a baby manatee
& with Babbitt's keen eye we were able to spot one today
The O'Babbitt's with Thomas Edison at his winter home
We learned that he loved Fort Myers and spent a lot of time there experimenting & planting palm trees
The O'Babbitt's listening to the tour in front of Henry Ford's winter home
Edison convinced his friend to buy the home next door

This place was great...tons of juice & fruit samples, yummy orange ice cream,
plus they let us sleep in their parking lot
