Island Hopping

Once Katie found out Sanibel & Captiva Islands were on our way out of town, there was no talking her out of spending another day on the beach!  We got there early, drove through the exclusive islands & picked up a few shells as we walked along the beach. We then rode our bikes in the most bike friendly town ever to get lunch & ended our night watching the sunset and having dinner at the famous Bubble Room.  We also had our first issue parking since we've been on the road...Babbitt may have accidently parked in a reserved spot & when we came back to the Rig after dinner, it had been blocked in the spot, so the owner could come out & give us a talking to!
The Rig on Sanibel Island
Apparently Sanibel is the shell capital of the world...Babbitt doesn't understand
why anyone would "shell", but that hasn't stopped Katie from collecting them along the way
Black Beans & Rice from the East End Deli
This place does not look like much from the outside,
but it was a diamond in the rough & one of our favorite lunch spots so far
Sanibel Island Lighthouse
We checked out a few beaches while on the island...unfortunately Babbitt lost his
sunglasses in the ocean here while pretending to be eaten by a shark

O'Babbitt Tip: Don't miss the Bubble Bread or the scary Christmas Room
Thanks to Will for the great recommendation
