Even though we were warned about the crowds in Miami, due to the Ultra Music Festival...we decided it was a city we just couldn't miss! So, after spending the day at a Sam's Club Block Party (we stopped by the club warehouse to restock the Rig Bar and happened upon quite the free party...they even had cotton candy & snow cones), taking in some exciting Jai-Alai matches, biking through South Florida & researching Miami in depth...we were sure we were prepared for our day in South Beach. We got up around 7:00 a.m. to get to the beach parking lot before it filled up, settled in & got ready for a 20-mile round trip bike ride. To be honest, the bike ride was the WORST (lots of biking on sand & trying to navigate around oblivious pedestrians), but man it was worth it. We enjoyed morning binocular cocktails, had an amazing lunch at Joe's Stone Crab, walked through the Holocaust Memorial, saw Dash Miami, took in the waves at our favorite beach in Florida & even checked out the Nude Beach...we'll let you decide if we went nude too!

Babbitt posing at his new favorite pastime...Jai-Alai Although we didn't win any money...we still had fun watching this fast paced game |

The O'Babbitt's all smiles after our long journey & lunch at Joe's Stone Crab Thanks so much to The Cohen's for this great recommendation |
The Holocaust Memorial We weren't expecting to see this while in Miami, but we are so glad we did...well done & very moving |
Miami's Ocean Boulevard Not only did we bike like crazy, but we also did a lot of walking to see the Miami restaurants, shopping & of course to people watch |
South Beach was not what we expected...it was surprisingly family friendly & had the best waves we have seen so far |
