Fresh Fish For Sale

We thought we would be heading towards Vancouver, B.C. after a quick stop to Pike Place Market, but there was so much to do in Seattle that we ended up staying another day and a half!  We are pretty sure Seattle is the last, big U.S. city we will be seeing for quite some time, so we were tried to get our fill of the city life.

We read that this is the place to get THE best coffee cake...since coffee cake is one of Babbitt's
favorite foods & we happened to spend the night right across the street, we had to try it
Our first clue that the coffee cake might be less than par was that it wasn't listed on the menu
...guess you can't believe everything you read

Although packed with tourists, this market really did live up to the hype; fish were thrown, samples
were given, food vendors were plentiful & we found the best deals on beautiful fresh flowers around

Sadly, we spent most of our parking meter time waiting in line at Starbucks,
but we still had the pleasure of seeing this market running at full speed

We tried to see Seattle's underground city, but failed when we found out that the tour is in fact
corporately owned & only 3 blocks long...instead we opted to check out this former synthetic natural gas factory turned public park & have a late lunch at the greasy spoon, Beth's Cafe

After some frustrating driving through Seattle, a run around Green Lake & a trip to
Archie McPhee's we had one of our favorite dinners & favorite servers at this funky cafe
