After a bit of planning...we realized that we would be spending more time in Denver than we had originally thought in order to see our friends, B-Will & Caitlin, since B-Will was traveling for work. So, after a groggy start to our day in Cherry Creek, we enjoyed more of the mall & a matinee viewing of The Great Gatsby. The next day we wasted a bit of time in the city & saw a few more sites before making our way to Highlands Ranch for a fun evening with wonderful friends!

The Tattered Cover Book Store This old theater turned into a bookstore was a relaxing way to enjoy Denver |
 |
The Colorado State Capitol This photo is much better than the one we took, because the gold dome was being recasted during our visit...nonetheless our tour was still very informative & entertaining |
 |
The U.S. Mint Denver We tried a number of times to make tour reservations here, but each time we were unsuccessful The photo we had was of Babbitt looking sad next to these locked gates |

"I See What You Mean" The Colorado Convention Center's 40-Foot-Tall Blue Bear art |

When Katie discovered the Black-eyed Pea was still open in Denver she couldn't resist eating at one of her favorite childhood restaurants, although lunch wasn't quite as good as we remembered it being, you can't beat a little nostalgia & soft, buttery rolls |

This should be a picture of The O'Babbitt's, Caitlin & B-Will at Lansdowne Arms Pub in Highlands Ranch, but instead we have a photo circa 2009 including; Morgan, Chad, Katie, Babbitt, Caitlin, B-Will & Andy |
